Nostalgia: Summer Camp Movies

It's more intimidating than school, terrifying, uncomfortable, and lonely, but then you make life-long friends over time.

Here's some awesome movies that bring it all back -

POISON IVY (1985)
Michael J. Fox, Nancy McKeon
Made-for-tv movie. Awkward counselors, awkward campers. Stumbling romance.

LITTLE DARLINGS (1980)
Tatum O'Neal, Kristy McNichol, Matt Dillon
Two girls in camp bet each other who will lose their virginity first.

THE PARENT TRAP (ORIGINAL 1961)
Hayley Mills
Unknowing twins go to the same camp and realize their parents split them up as babies when they divorced. They hatch a plan to meet the parent they never knew.

THE PARENT TRAP (REMAKE 1998)
Lindsay Lohan
Unknowing twins go to the same camp and realize their parents split them up as babies when they divorced. They hatch a plan to meet the parent they never knew.

MEATBALLS (1979)
Bill Murray
A totally chaotic and low-budget camp needs to compete with the super wealthy camp and this ragtag team pulls it together.

INDIAN SUMMER (1993)
Diane Lane, Bill Paxton
Friends from long-ago summer camp reunite at the camp as it's about to close down.

WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER (2001)
Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce
The counselors at a camp try to tie things up at the end of the season.

I'd suggest some salt water taffy for the viewing -
