Do you ever just want to go back to a simple natural life again? To not be on-call 24/7/365 with your cell phone? How about creating a 1970s weekend?
First: Put the cell phone in a drawer. Do not answer it. Do not look at it. It does not exist. No one can call you or bother you, you cannot call or bother others. You might learn what it's like to be present again.

When it comes to watching TV, stick to the nostalgic tv channel apps like Tubi or YouTube's library of oldies. Remember, we had few channels then.

J.R.R. Tolkien
Magic by William Goldman
Are You There God? It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume
Burn incense.
Make a God's Eye or macrame plant hanger.
Tie Dye a t-shirt.
Shop at a local mom and pop store.
Sit on the front porch and say "hi" to neighbors.
Lay out and suntan. (or use bronzer or sunlamp)
Read a newspaper.
The great takeaway from a simple weekend is remembering lawn sprinklers and neighbors, drinking iced tea or sangria and listening to sports on the radio, making a home-cooked meal. It's really reconnecting with being a person in the world instead of the world in a person. Without the 24/7 cell phone and social media connection, you begin to daydream, make goals, appreciate where you are and what you have, make face-to-face contact with others.
