Nostalgic Summer Drinks of Your Youth Turned Into Adult Cocktails

cut the ends off of Twizzlers and use as straws

Summertime nostalgia includes fresh watermelon, corn on the cob, cheddar biscuits, fried chicken, and so many more fantastic traditions. But, what about the part of you that misses the summertime drinks of childhood? Well, it's time to keep up the traditions, but up the game with liquor. Summer cocktails will never be the same again. Consider a BBQ party with nostalgic slip and slide, water sprinkler running, and these cocktails? Don't forget your 1970s tunes!

OTTER POPS

Drop an otter pop into a glass and pour in some seltzer and liquor like tequila. Use your Twizzler straw. Maybe consider cutting a slice in a gummy bear and sitting him on the rim of the glass. I used gummy sharks because I love Jaws!

OTHER COMBOS -

Tang and Vodka

YooHoo chocolate drink and Kahlua

Kool-Aid and rum

Purple Cow Shake (grape soda/vanilla ice cream) and Bailey's Irish Cream

Spread the table with some Halloween-sized candies and relive your youth.
